Law-approved airport noise: ARMM, precision to the millisecond.

With ARMM respecting laws and regulations is simple, acquiring the sound pressure, as required by the DM 20-05-1999, once every second. Thanks in fact to the patented technology, ARMM is able to interface with Class 1 and 2 sound meters, constantly recording their data and monitoring their correct functioning.

In particular, with ARMM, it’s possible to pilot without on-the-site operators the sound meters’ activity (start/stop recording, electronic calibration every 24h, instrument resetting, memory download) as well as to obtain in real time the measured data and be updated on the regular development of the surveying.

Despite ARMM having been created and tested to operate independently for long periods of time, the remotest operator can interact with the sound meter by giving particular and personalized instructions; he/she can request additional parameters (battery condition, instantaneous temperature, peak acquired in the last period, etc.) and eventually carry out specific operations (reset the instrument’s hardware, calibration, etc.).

All as if the sound meter were connected to one’s own PC and without additional costs of GSM traffic.

In addition every ARMM has a clock satellite system that allows the development of sound meter networks perfectly synchronized to the nearest thousandth of a second even with eventual weather stations.

Once recorded, the data is transferred over to a server that processes and translates it in reports always updated and validated as required by the regulation. If the radar tracking of the flights is also available, the software on the server allows to carry out a matching by selecting only those events actually related to an airplane movement.

On the other hand, in the absence of radar tracking it’s possible to use an ARMM LTO module, synchronized with the rest of the network as well, to identify with precision the single steps on the runway shoulders .

Bottom line:

With ARMM the airport Manager can significantly reduce the costs with respect to an “on-the-field” approach without giving up the direct instrument control and self-guaranteeing a high recording reliability, greater security and the possibility to check online and in real time the monitoring process.
